Golfers To Tee Off To Fight Diabetes

May 8, 2009--Join the Central Ohio Diabetes Association for the 2009 Len Immke Memorial Swing for Diabetes on Monday, June 8 at the Scarlet Course at The Ohio State University Golf Club, 3605 Tremont Rd., Columbus, OH.
Since 1989, golfers have taken to the greens to raise funds to benefit nearly 184,500 Central Ohioans with diabetes by funding education, detection, a camp for children with diabetes, and other Central Ohio Diabetes Association programs.
The tournament includes 18 holes of golf, the use of a cart and driving range, gifts, prizes and free beverages on the course. The $325 fee also includes lunch and an awards reception.
Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by the opening of the driving range and a putting contest. The event will begin with a shotgun start at Noon, and concludes with an awards ceremony following the tournament. Prizes will be awarded to the top golfers, and for the best skill shots including longest drive. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
