PUBLIC TICKET SALES INFORMATION ANNOUNCED
FOR OHSAA STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS
Special Group Discount Tickets Also Available for Finals

COLUMBUS, Ohio —
Public all-session and single-session ticket sales for the 2009 Ohio HighSchool Athletic Association Girls and Boys State Basketball Tournaments will begin later this month,
OHSAA Commissioner Daniel B. Ross has announced. Besides those regular sales, special group discount
ticket orders are currently being accepted for the championship games on the Saturdays of those
two tournaments. The girls state tournament is March 19, 20 and 21, while the boys state tournament is
March 26, 27 and 28. Both will be held at Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center on the
campus of The Ohio State University in Columbus.
Both all-session and single-session ticket sales for the girls state basketball tournament begin
Monday, Feb. 16, at 10:00 a.m. The cost for all-session ticket books is $64 each, while single-session
tickets are $10 each.
Boys state tournament all-session ticket sales begin a week later on Monday, Feb. 23, at 10:00 a.m.,
and single-session ticket sales begin Monday, March 23, at 10:00 a.m. The cost for all-session ticket
books is $144 for the Entry and Club Levels of the arena or $120 for the Terrace Level, while single-session
tickets are $15 for the Entry and Club Levels and $12 for the Terrace Level.
To order by phone, call Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. Tickets can also be purchased on-line at
www.ticketmaster.com. Additionally, tickets can be purchased in person at Ticketmaster locations
(including Kroger stores) and at the OSU Athletic Ticket Office, located in the southeast corner of the
Jerome Schottenstein Center with office hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In addition to all-session and single-session ticket sales, new this year is the opportunity for groups
of 10 or more to purchase discount “Championship Saturday” tickets for all four finals of each state tournament.
Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets to the four championship games of the girls tournament
on Saturday, March 21, for $20 per person (a savings of 50 percent per ticket!), and groups of 10
or more can purchase tickets to the four championship games of the boys tournament on Saturday,
March 28, for $30 per person (a savings of $18 per ticket!). Included with the orders are give-away items
for each attendee and special group recognition within the arena. Additional information on the group
specials and order forms are currently available on the OHSAA web site (www.ohsaa.org).
The deadlinefor groups to purchase discounted tickets for the “Championship Saturday” promotions
has been extended to Wednesday, March 4.

1:00-Division IV semifinal; 3:00-Division IV semifinal; 6:00-Division III semifinal; 8:00-Division III semifinal;
Friday, March 20: 1:00-Division II semifinal; 3:00-Division II semifinal;6:00-Division I semifinal; 8:00 Division I semifinal; and
Saturday, March 21: 10:45-Division IVfinal; 2:00-Division III final; 5:15-Division II final; 8:30-Division I final. Tickets for the semifinals of the
girls state tournaments are good for admission to both games in the same division.
