PRAYER AT VETERANS MEMORIAL

COLUMBUS, OH – The third annual Columbus Prayer Summit is Saturday, October 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Franklin County Veterans Memorial.

Central Ohio pastors, leaders and prayer partners are assembling for this inter-denominational and multicultural prayer event.

The focus will be on seven areas of prayer that affect our society. The areas of prayer are the Arts, Business and Commerce, Church, Direct Media, Education, Family and Government.

A pastor or representative will introduce briefly each new area for prayer, and then participants within a circle will take turns praying for each new topic that is introduced. A coordinator will facilitate prayer within each group. These intimate prayer sessions last 10-15 minutes, thus giving each person in the circle an opportunity to pray aloud for one or two minutes.

There will not be any preaching, teaching or personal promotion by anyone.

Musicians will be leading the group in worshipful songs throughout the day.

This event is open to the public. People are welcome to come alone and join a prayer circle, or bring a team of 5-10 people from your church or small group. Prayer circles are comprised of six or seven people.

Each year, the prayer summit has grown and this year it is expected to have more than one thousand attendees filling the North Hall at Veterans Memorial.
