Swine Flu Information from Columbus Public Health

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) today confirmed a case of swine influenza A (H1N1) virus involving a 9-year-old boy from Lorain County

While no cases have been identified in Columbus at this time, as of Sunday, April 26 at 4:00 PM, twenty cases of swine flu had been confirmed in the U.S. , according to the federal Centers for Disease Control. 

The confirmed cases are in California , Texas , New York , Kansas and now Ohio . There are an undetermined number of cases in Mexico reaching into the hundreds.  

Columbus Public Health has heighten disease surveillance is fully engaged, working with our Federal, State and local health department partners.
