Hair Woes!!! We all have them!!
As Oprah repeatedly reminds us, "Black women can’t just wash it, shake it, and go!" And, thanks to Oprah, we now know that some of our Caucasian sisters who can wash and shake are in constant pursuit of the perfect blonde every eight weeks!! How many of us have looked in the mirror and said to ourselves, "It’s too short", "It’s too long", "It has no body", "It won’t hold a curl", "It’s the wrong shade"
We need weaves, waves, relaxers, braids, kinky twists, sista locks, twist sets, TWAs, color and a cut! And we want it all without putting chemicals in our hair!! All women, of all races obsess about their hair! If you have hair, you have questions! We want information on hair styles, hair health, hair vitamins, how hormonal changes affect your hair, male pattern baldness in men and women, alopecia, DHT….Does any of this sound familiar???
Karen Gary, master stylist at Synergi Salon would like to address these issues with you as she presents her GETITSTRAIT! Workshop, at noon, Saturday, October 17, 2009, at the King Arts Complex, 867 Mount Vernon Ave.
This free workshop is open to the public, but registration is necessary to attend. To register on line, go to
www.synergisalon.com then click on Get It Strait. Fill out the registration form, then plan to attend. If you have hair questions, please jot them down and bring them to the seminar. If you have questions regarding registration, contact Karen Gary, at 641-715-3800.
